Ember is currently learning to be a facility dog through Glad Wags. She will be present at disaster and other emergency scenes for the Jenks Fire Department, and she’ll also be popping into a lot of events happening the city!
Pippin had a rough start to her life after needing a double hip replacement. Glad Wags training really helped me meet Pippin where she was at post-surgery to provide her the needed support to jump right into being a facility dog. We have had the best of both worlds with group training that provides opportunity to learn with others, as well as individualized help to allow Pippin to learn exactly what she needs to know. I work with several nonverbal kids at my job as a speech therapist. Even though Marj wasn't familiar at all with the system of communication that we use, she helped me teach Pippin how to recognize pictures of toys and then go find them when shown, so that even my nonverbal children can participate with her in therapy sessions. Pippin and I are so grateful for all the training tips to help her engage with my therapy sessions!
